Santa Needs a New Tree

Meanwhile at the North Pole

Preparing for Christmas at the North Pole can be exhausting, which is why Bernard always plans for a special little getaway right before the 24th. So he called up his best friend Snowball the polar bear to prepare for their annual day trip at the Blue Lagoon Mountain Springs Resort and Spa.
The two friends were very busy this year so it was the first time they had seen each other in months!

At the spa, Snowball and Bernard decided to visit a sauna together, but the coolest one, since Snowball’s fur kept him pretty warm already. They started to discuss their year and the things that changed in their jobs. Of course, the Christmas Resource Planning (XRP) and Christmas Adoption Planning (XAP) solutions came up from Bernard’s side.
As he explained the improvements in toy production due to the new XAP, he suddenly realized that there was more to the story.

In fact, he had experienced first hand the true journey of what it takes to improve the toy production processes in the workshop. What he thought was going to be an easy switch for the elves, turned out to be a little more complicated than expected. Thanks to the help from Santa and the other elves, Bernard was able to find the best way to support the workshop even when Santa was out traveling. And he could see all of the results right there in both solutions, and also in the renewed Christmas spirit from the elves. Which was pretty cool!

“That’s pretty impressive,” said Snowball who was panting from the heat. “Can we go to the pool now?”

Santa's Reply to Bernard

Dear Bernard,

I am glad to hear that you and Snowball went up to the Blue Lagoon Spa, that place is amazing! I haven't been there in years.

Today I was out looking for a new Christmas tree. Why so late, you may be wondering. Well, when I came home yesterday from the store I found that our cat Mistletoe had torn down our tree when she was playing with some ornaments! You should have seen Mrs. Claus’ face! Which is why I am out in the Candy Cane forest looking for a new tree. Listen to this, I actually found the perfect tree! Completely decorated and ready to go, I couldn’t believe it!

When you were explaining how well everything has worked out with the XRP and XAP, I must admit, I was a little surprised. I remember how we were having some trouble in the beginning of December trying to get the elves to be open to using the XRP! And now you tell me that you can see the positive effects the XAP has had on the elves’ relationship with the new software. Well, what can I say? Maybe change is a good thing.

I am looking forward to seeing you and the elves tomorrow for our Christmas brunch!
