He leaves his Head Elf Bernard in charge of implementing new automation at the North Pole….But changing well-established processes is not that easy.

Santa's Having a Blast with his New Vespa

Meanwhile at the North Pole

Things were quiet in the workshop today, and Bernard thought that perhaps his things were finally coming along with the XRP (Christmas Resource Planning) platform.
It wasn’t until he opened up his computer and saw the notifications blinking like Christmas lights at Times Square that he realized how wrong he was!

The elves were sending an overwhelming amount of support tickets and completely bombarding the ElfHelp team.
And a lot of the questions were the same, but just coming from different elves!
‘How can we make sure that elves can get access to their questions at once, or at least find a place where they can try to solve their problem themselves?’ thought Bernard.
He sent a quick email to Santa and waited patiently for an answer.

Santa's Reply to Bernard

”Dear Bernard,

I did something today that I’ve wanted to do for a while now. I bought a Vespa!
It turns out, winter may not be the most optimal time to go for a ride. But I must say, there is nothing like dashing through the snow in a one-man open Vespa!

I was a little bit surprised to hear that the elves are still having so much trouble with the XRP, but then I remembered that a while ago, I introduced a new reindeer GPS tracking system and they accidentally forgot to turn it on during Christmas night!

I had to go back to the old star tracking navigation system that night to get back to the North Pole.

I know we don’t have that much time before Christmas. Maybe the best thing ElfSupport could do is collect all the support requests and create some sort of centralized documentation that every elf can access to solve their own problems.

Remember, the reason we want to get the elves on board with the new XRP software is so that everyone can use any future technology without needing to go to ElfHelp everyday.

It is going to free up a lot of time in the workshop for everyone!

Best Wishes,
